Shannon has spent nearly a decade working as staff with various nonprofit organizations and training emerging nonprofit leaders. Well-versed in the unique demands and challenges characteristic to working in a nonprofit setting, she has developed a strong background in nonprofit organizational design, staff development, strategic planning, and community engagement. Her extensive experience with AmeriCorps and National service has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the community building process, the role of volunteerism, and the importance of community buy-in and ownership in mission-driven work.

Shannon’s unique contributions to the nonprofit sector include advanced, evidence-based volunteer management trainings as well as strategic alignment services. Strategic alignment services include supporting the community building process, developing programmatic and operational objectives designed to support efficiency and decision-making, and creating tools to guide Staff and Board of Director communications.

Volunteering frequently within her community, Shannon is an engaged citizen, who has served on several nonprofit boards and advisory councils. She regularly trains for the Montana Nonprofit Association at events around the state, and is a member of the Montana Nonprofit Association as well as the Society of Human Resource Management.
