Verve Exchange Founder

Shannon completed two terms of service as an AmeriCorps *VISTA and went on to serve as the Statewide Training Officer for the Governor’s Office of Community Service. Prior to launching Verve Exchange, she served as a Program Manager for Montana Campus Compact and invested eight years working with Montana Conservation Corps, earning the title of Director of Programs. In 2015, after nearly 10 years of consulting on the side, Shannon launched Verve Exchange and now focuses on delivering high-impact learning experiences full-time. Her efforts under Verve Exchange have earned several accolades, including being named as one of Bozeman’s Top 20 Under 40, an award reserved for southwest Montana’s top young business professionals. 


Shannon is an Alumna of Fort Lewis College, earning Cum Laude Honors while studying Communication, Psychology, Sociology, and Gender Issues, in addition to completing graduate level courses in Organizational Theory and Leadership and Strategic Planning. Her professional expertise has been bolstered through the attendance of numerous workshops and conferences, including the Community Building Institute, the National Conference on Volunteerism and Service, the Wilderness Risk Management Conference, the Montana Nonprofit Association Annual Conference, and the Governor’s Conference on Civic Engagement.


​Shannon is a certified Youth Mental Health First-Aid provider, Prevention Specialist, Associate Academic Life Coach, and Work Safe Champion with Montana State Fund. She is a member of the Society of Human Resource Management, the Montana Nonprofit Association, and America’s Service Commissions.


As an advocate for service, she continues to volunteer extensively with a variety of community organizations and in 2014 received the AmeriCorps Alumni Local Leadership Award.
